Dr. Brian Jacob is an internationally recognized hernia, chronic pain, and weight loss surgeon in New York City. For 10 consecutive years, he has been selected as one of the best hernia surgeons in NYC by The New York Times Magazine, and is listed by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. in New York Magazine as a Top Doctor (2012–2025). Over the past decade, Dr. Jacob has performed thousands of hernia procedures, devoting the majority of his career to treating hernias and groin pain, with a goal of offering his patients an optimized outcome and uneventful rapid recovery.
Associate Professor Dr. Hatem Moussa is American Board Certified since 2005 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the founder and Chief of the American Hospital Hernia Center of Excellence, established in 2023. He is an international expert in robotic and minimally invasive surgery and a certified trainer in robotic surgery.
Dr. Sonja Chiappetta is the first female surgeon who leads a center of excellence for bariatric and metabolic surgery in South Italy. Her passion for fighting obesity, her perseverance and persistence during work, her organizing ability and correctness, her enthusiasm for surgery, her scientific curiosity and the opportunity of starting her surgical education with Prof. Rudolf Weiner are all abilities that helped her to become a named young bariatric surgeon in the obesity community.
